Heating & Cooling For $1/Day?

That's just the beginning of a geothermal heating and cooling system...

Maximum Efficiency

Geothermal systems are up to 500% efficient. Cut your heating and cooling bills up to 35%.

Free Hot Water

Heat can be reclaimed to supplement your home's water heater. A typical family can save 50-60% on water heating costs.

System Longevity

Our systems provide an average of 20-24 years of reliable comfort and savings. The loop field has an indefinite life expectancy.

Leading Warranties

GeoComfort heat pumps are protected by the best warranties in the geothermal industry.

Local Incentives

States, local municipalities, and utilities offer installation rebates, tax incentives or low interest loans. Find Local Incentives

Earth Friendly

Geothermal helps the earth by burning no fossil fuel and using very little electricity.

How Does Geothermal Work?

Nearly 50% of the sun's heat is stored in the earth a few feet below the surface. Geothermal pulls that stored heat in the winter and distributes it to your home. In the summer, that process is reversed and the heat in your home is redistributed to the earth, leaving cool air behind. There are several options for installing a geothermal system:
Horizontal Loop

Horizontal Installation

This is the most common loop used when adequate land area is available. Trench lengths range from 100 to 300 feet, depending on the loop design and application.
Horizontal Loop

Vertical Installation

This loop is used mainly when land area is limited and in retrofit applications of existing homes. A drilling rig is used to bore holes at a depth of 150 to 200 feet.
Horizontal Loop

Pond/Lake Installation

A pond loop is an option if a large body of water is available within approximately 200 feet of the home. A 1/2 acre, 8 to 10 foot deep body of water is usually adequate to support the average home.
Horizontal Loop

Open Loop Installation

This system can be installed if an abundant supply of high quality well water is available. A typical home will require 4 to 8 gallons of water per minute. A proper discharge area such as a river, drainage ditch, field tile, stream, pond, or lake must be present.
